dieting
i've never been one for a get rich quick scheme or fad diets(south bay, hollywood or miami). however, my girlfriend recently told me a diet her mom had gone on after giving birth: rice and pineapple diet. (could be a new fad in dieting, like the "hawaiian", minus the poi?) butter in the rice is okay, it must be white, and wine is okay to drink. sounds simple enough, right? wrong. i dont like rice. especially white. i forgot. i dont even like it on my cut sushi rolls and often find myself unraveling them to get to the good stuff (which for a while i thought i was doing cause it was too filling), like an oreo! brown rice is my preference if its coming with and/or in something, but again, still not a huge fan. oh, and i am a substituter too. more for healthy choice reasons, like spinach for salads instead of lettuce (the greener the better for you) partially too, due to my allergic reactions to such things as wheat and dairy (i really miss ice cream, some soy ice creams are okay, but its still not the same, no matter what lies you may have been told), and a pinch of overall pickyness. i cant help myself, i just like things the way i like it. dont worry, i'm still okay to go out to eat with or grab snacks over a bottle of wine, i waited tables forever when i thought being an actress was my calling, which really just means i am an ex-professional table waiter/bartender...i know how to politely pick and choose my battles as far as substitutions go and i ask as politely as possible, as to not give the girl/boy a hard time and be a PITA (pain in the ass). gross things make me gag and want to vomit. like rice. i really hope when i get home today i weigh 5 pounds less. i am also light headed and would prefer starvation or liquid diet over this rice diet. gross. the only upside is the butter. yum. i love butter.
